We are ŠMÍDL (s.r.o.) — transport specialists and a proud member of ŠMÍDL HOLDING, the group that connects us with fellow transport company NIKA Logistics and other service organisations. ŠMÍDL s.r.o. was the very first company around which the entire holding grew over more than 35 years. The name of our company — and the holding as a whole — reflects our founding family, who built this business on integrity, determination, and respect for tradition. We believe that the true strength of the holding lies in respecting the individuality of each company within it, and in the harmonious cooperation that delivers long-term growth and stability.

We organise a range of non-commercial activities aimed at minimising the environmental impact of our operations. We support non-profit organisations, sports clubs, and other institutions — not only in our region. We are committed to raising the professional profile of truck drivers and road haulage as an industry.
Christmas Lorry for Children
Every year we organise our Christmas Lorry for Children event, in which we fill one of our lorries with Christmas gifts donated by our partners and deliver them before Christmas Eve to day-care centres in Ústí nad Orlicí and Vysoké Mýto, community and low-threshold social service facilities in Žamberk and Litomyšl, and to the hospital in Ústí nad Orlicí.
Ecology
In recent years we have implemented a number of environmental measures that reduce our energy consumption and improve our waste management. We are well known for our modern vehicle fleet: the average age of our vehicles does not exceed 2.5 years and all our lorries meet EURO 6 emission standards. We continually reduce fuel and electricity consumption, and the proportion of non-recycled waste.
